Jana Marie (Jamie) Fried focuses her practice primarily on products liability and toxic torts with a particular emphasis on asbestos and silica cases.  She also represents clients in construction/surety litigation, commercial disputes, and general liability defense.

Before joining the firm in 2008, Jamie was a partner in a large firm, where she practiced product liability litigation; a mixture of asbestos, general, and commercial litigation; and construction and surety litigation.  She brings strong litigation, trial, and appellate experience to the firm. 

Jamie is a member of the Florida Bar Association and the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar. 

In late 2005, Jamie spoke at the Silica Litigation and Medicine Conference held in California on The Asbestos and Silica Compensation Fairness Act , enacted in June 2005.  Jamie discussed silica claims in Florida and the results of this recently passed statute, as well as the challenges presented in cases currently being litigated.  In late 2007, Jamie was invited by one of the world's leading manufacturers of building products to assist in the training of local counsel with respect to defending asbestos claims. 

In 1995, Jamie graduated from the University of Miami School of Law and was admitted to practice in Florida .  She is a past volunteer of the Put Something Back program in Miami , has counseled potential pro se litigants, and, since 2003, has acted as a volunteer judge at mock trials for the University of Miami School of Law.
